From Europe to South Africa: the journey of MXGP equipment knows no borders

In motorsport, every race begins long before the green light.

Behind every international competition weekend lies a complex logistics operation that must ensure precision, punctuality and coordination at every stage.

For the 11th round of the MXGP World Championship held in South Africa, SEL managed the international transportation of race materials from Europe to Johannesburg, supporting teams and organisers throughout the event preparation process.

The operation involved the transportation of:

  • Competition motorcycles;
  • Team spare parts and technical equipment;
  • Circuit branding materials;
  • TV production and media equipment.

Thanks to accurate planning and the coordination of multiple operational activities, all materials arrived on schedule, allowing teams, organisers, broadcasters and suppliers involved to complete the setup of their operational areas before the start of the race weekend.

At the end of the event, SEL managed the collection of all materials, coordinated customs operations in South Africa, and organised the return journey to Europe, with the final destination being Great Britain, host country of the championship’s following round.

Sports logistics supporting international motorsport

Managing international sports movements requires experience, strong organisational skills and an in-depth understanding of the specific needs of a two-wheel racing event.

SEL supports teams, organisers and sports partners in the transportation of racing motorcycles and cars, equipment and event materials worldwide, developing customised logistics solutions for motorsport and international sporting events.

Because behind every race there is precise, reliable and coordinated logistics.
