SEL is always looking ahead, and so it was befitting that SEL attended the A.G.E.S Tokyo 2020 workshop focused on procurement, Overlay and Logistics. Over 35 members and associate members attended the workshop hosted by the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee of the Olympic games (TOCOG) and EY & Partners. A detailed overview was provided by TOCOG’s Venue Management, procurement, Overlay and Logistics Functional Areas whereby they highlighted the need for industry collaboration, and their request for insights how efficiency can be increased for the design, delivery and installation of all key elements for hosting Olympic & paralympic Games.
About A.G.E.S
The purpose of the Association of Global Event Suppliers is to build up awareness for industry-specific aspects and to promote and defend the interests of its members in the international event marketplace under the label of AGES.
“Three years out from the games seems a long time, but we know that familiarization, understanding the needs of each and every OCOG, and the local operating environment are important, se we are now here with A.G.E. S on our first of many many visits to this great city – Tokyo, host of 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games.” Matthew Clarke, Managing Director of SEL
