The World Rally Championship (WRC) is one of the most spectacular and challenging competitions in motorsport. With 14 stages crossing continents and extreme terrain, from the paved roads of Europe to the dirt and sand tracks of exotic locations, logistics play a crucial role in ensuring that each event runs smoothly.
Five WRC stages take place outside Europe: Kenya, Paraguay, Chile, Japan and Saudi Arabia. But what goes on behind the scenes to ensure that cars, equipment and materials arrive in time for each race? This is where SEL comes in, taking care of the logistics behind each non-European stage.
Our mission: to take the WRC around the world
Managing the logistics of the WRC means organising shipments by sea and air for the non-European stages. Whether it's rally cars, technical equipment, tyres or audiovisual production materials, our team makes sure that every load arrives on time and in perfect condition.
At the side of the teams
For competing teams, we take care of the transport of the cars and everything they need to tackle all types of terrain, such as technical equipment, spare parts, accessories and working tools.
Our goal? To ensure that the teams can concentrate solely on the race, while we take care of the logistics.
Our partners in the WRC
In addition to supporting the teams, we work with the major suppliers to the championship, ensuring that every element is in the right place at the right time:
- TV production: we transport the equipment needed to broadcast the events, enabling the WRC to reach millions of viewers around the world.
- Tyres for the teams: we make sure that the teams always have the right tyres available for every surface.
Logistics without borders
Managing a global event like the WRC means facing complex logistical challenges. Thanks to our experience and our highly specialised international transport network, we make every overseas stage possible, ensuring that everything arrives on time and in perfect condition.
SEL is the logistics partner that takes the WRC around the world.
